As the mother of 7 noseminers, (ages 19 years to 2 years ~ 5 girls, 2 boys) and Chief Cook and Bottle Washer (among other titles) of this brood, I find that cooking for and feeding so many takes a lot of time. Even with a culinary education, it's still no easy task.
