Thank you for your complements and support. Much appreciated. I've been busy with a new wine job so I haven't been able to post recently but I have a few in the works.
Here's some delicious light quaffing wines I enjoy and found to be very refreshing when chilled hard, especially during warm weather. These are usually available at grocery stores, under $15 and very good Quality-to-Price Ratio (QPR).
- Pacific Rim Dry Riesling
- Pacific Rim Chenin Blanc
- Schmitt Sohne Riesling, Reinhessen QBA Germany (usually the only blue wine bottle on the shelf, see www.littlegerman.com)
- Georges Meurgey Vouvray (Chenin Blanc)
- Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand
- J. Lohr Bay Mist Riesling
- Firefly Ridge Pinot Gris (this one may not be available widely)
Cheers!

This blows my socks off ... all of this powerful information about wines. It was as if I had walked into a vineyard and a library simultaneously. Seriously, I have always wished to know about wine and every time I visit the wine store, I find I am surrounded by exciting bottles filled with liquid and fermented grapes. I am never sure what to purchase. I do understand taste, just not which brands are the valid choices to make. You have provided a certain place people may visit to attempt to learn enough to choose wisely. I most assuredly will return from time to time in order to take in more of these fabulous facts. Exceptional blog.
