Many of you probably heard that Court and Mark at the Keyword Academy were going to post 100 times in 100 days.
I am going to take up their challenge and post 100 recipes in 100 days.
Of course it takes a lot of planning and research to pull this trick off successfully. But I think I can do it.
I already have 23 recipes ready to go. I am going to wait until about the middle of September to start scheduling the postings.
My site is filled with great potato recipes and crock pot recipes.
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR A LINK EXCHANGE.
If any of you would like to have a link to any of your blogs included in one of the 100 recipe posts let me know.
The blog I link to must be relevant to food, recipes, cooking, or in some way connected. In other words the blog must be relevant to mine.
You do not have to give me a link back to my site.
I am doing this because I know that if I post that much I will #1 get many natural links
#2 get tons of traffic
#3 be able to help other food bloggers out
If you would like a link just go to my site and across the top you will see a "contact us" button.
Just say that you would like a link in the 100 recipe challenge.
Leave the url you would like me to link to. Also if you have a anchor text you would like me to use just let me know.
I will let you know when the post that contains your link will be published.
Once again, you do not have to link back to my site.

Nice, I can't wait to see your posts. It sound like a good idea. I think I may try that 100 post. -
Really interesting idea. Though honestly I think it sounds too much like its about traffic and not so much about posting quality recipes. I believe that a much more effective way of getting quality links to your site, and ultimately quantity links (because quantity typically follows quality leaders) is to create a superb blog. 100 recipes in 100 days sounds great though after 100 days then what? The people who are most effective at blogging are people who have a real purpose for their blogs. That is a driving force for doing it.-
@tonyb I always post quality recipes. I am working on the 100 recipes now. The best way to get loads of traffic and get links is by being high up in the search engines. If you have any doubts that Potato Patch Recipes is a quality site that can achieve a top ranking...go search the main keyword phase for the site in Google. "Potato Recipes" See what position this site holds on page 1.
And just fyi, the people with the most effective blogs are the people who get their blogs read. Is your blog a "effective blog"? If so you must have "quantity links". Do you? Are you holding top positions in the search engines? Or are you just repeating what everybody else says. I want to see proof. If you know so much about how to be a great blogger, let me see your results. -
@PotatoChef, being in such a focused niche is a smart way to capture traffic. Obviously being high in search engines is a great way to get lots of traffic though it isn't necessarily the best way. It is one way. A site that has valuable content or a highly valuable platform will naturally rise to the top of search results because people will link to them.
Try use the same formula for chicken recipes. With major food sites, that naturally attract millions of links you will unlikely dominate the search results for a competitive term.
And fyi, I have one site that receives over 16 milllion unique visitors a month with a large % of them coming from search engines. -
@tonyb I guess if I want bad advice I know where you hang out. You say I can't compete with a chicken recipe against the "major sites".
Go ahead and do a google search for "Slow Cooker Chicken and Rice" and see who holds the number one position. Is it a "major" site or my site?
You might actually want to check your facts before telling others the best way to proceed.

@PotatoChef, I must say there aren't too many people searching for "slow cooker chicken and rice". Get the number one position for chicken recipe and it will be more impressive.-
Did the Google search and it came up from a site called RecipeTips.com. Is that Potato Chef? Looks like a bigger community site to me.

I try to post a recipe atleast every other day on my blog. Sometimes I just do not cook something impressive. :Like tonight I fixed noodles and sauce. I couldnt blog about that because it is boring to me. I like to have a picture with my recipe on my blog. My food forum is lacking pictures because alot of the recipes on there are from notebooks and stuff and I havent made them in a while. I am starting to work on that too. -
@amybyrd21 I started my blog with pictures and then just found it to much of a hassle.
I would have posted the noodles and sauce. You would be surprised what people look for when it comes to food.
When I was a kid I remember one of my father's favorite dishes was noodles and cottage cheese. Go figure??? I ate it so much that I started to like it. I haven't had it in years, but the point is you never know what people might be looking for.
Took a look at your blog...very nice. I can't imagine living on a 2 acre farm. Seems your doing pretty good at it. -
What kind of recipes do you want do you want us to pick a certain kind like Vegan or can it be mixed. I have close to 5000 that I would pick from and a lot more I have never tried. (I collect recipes) Let me know if you are looking for a certain type if not I will just go with the fllow and pick them as I go. -

@Theresa111 I am quite busy. I also have 6 other sites that I am working on. I plan on having 20 total by Christmas.
Just to be clear, I can't write for all of them and do the 100 recipes in 100 days thing at the same time. But if I post a little then the domains will age which is a good thing.
It's better to be a busy potato than a mashed potato. At least that's what my mom always told me.
