Do you listen to background music or watch and listen to DVD's while you work or cook?

I find familiar programs, movies and music playing quietly in the background actually soothes me, lets part of my mind either tune in or tune out the voices and since I know what is coming next. I don't ever miss anything.

Name some of your favorite movies, programs or music you implement when you need that soothing something while you work.

With a tween in the house I find myself listening most of the time to Blakc Eyed Peas, Usher, Ke$ha, etc... When I have my way I actually love Brazilian music on. It makes me happy and is so lively

this morning before my coffee and morning rituals of catwoman mommy to my meows, I turned on the TV and listened to Mountain Music. A little twangy music can brighten anyones day. Before I knew it I was sipping my coffee and tapping my foot. Wonderful day!

First i listened to a Sting CD and now I have FIOS comedy channel. This is new to me and I am enjoying it in the background, catching snippets of punchlines.

Here's one: The comedian was giving one-liners: "There's a train leaving in fifteen minutes ... be under it". (audience laughter)

I found a bunch of channels on FIOS and today I tried the one that said meditation. It was very soothing and since I had a lot of writing and editing to do, it allowed me to think though and get things done. I will turn it on when I prepare supper.

Miles Davis number four CD in the box The Columbia Years 1955 - 1985 You won't be disappointed!
Cut #2 What It Is M. Davis & J. Scofield had me dancing and jamming while I heated soup.
Now #4 is playing Shout, from The Man With The Horn. I love these horns!!!
