Hell's Kitchen, MasterChef, Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon Ramsey's F Word, Cookbooks, Restaurants, Videos and Recipes. He seems to be everywhere!

If you do watch him on the television, what are your favorites, and if you could ... would you watch a new series featuring him?

I know he yells, but I figure that's part of the drama. There are chefs who are worse and more autocratic in the kitchen (I've seem and heard them first-hand). But then ... I get a kick out of him. Many times because he speaks so quickly, I have to play back to listen again. I think he's great fun with a lot of talent thrown in. He has high expectations on the quality of food leaving his kitchens and I cannot blame him at all for that.

I use TIVO or a Recorder. Then in the wee hours of the morning before sunrise I get to watch these shows, fast-forward through commercials and see the action in a much shorter time than if I were watching it when aired. Seriously, no matter how much you feel you know about cooking or food, there really is something new and fascinating to learn each and every day. People share new techniques and Chefs are always trying new-fangled preparations.

Chef Ramsey has many pokers in the fires, but he delivers quality in all of his prime-time series. The F word show is new (to me at least), and two of these shows were extreme. The one about sharks and how he is helping uncover the cruel act of fishermen cutting off the shark fins and discarding the rest of the sharks, and sometimes tossing the sharks back into the ocean to die. He went to Costa Rica (which I'd heard was so beautiful and serene) and had his camera shoot what was going on. He was doused in petrol and threatened at gun point!! He even swam with the sharks. I fast-forwarded through most of that show.

The other one I watched two nights ago he was in Spain and tried to get these sea creatures off of the rocks, before the waves smashed in. It was a tense few minutes, but he showed us a new food ... (something) barnacles and how to cook them. Very interesting stuff. The restaurant competitions are good as well and then he also has celebrities to cook against him. I like his shows.

I am a Scot (allegedly so is he). Can't stand him. Yes, I think he might know a thing or two about cooking, but there the attraction ends. He is foul mouthed, nasty to people to an unwarranted extent and all to further his own image and boost his own ego and bank balance in the name of what, reality TV? There are ways and means to communicate that are not his ways. Sorry fans....
