When we join together to help those in need, every single penny is appreciated to purchase food, clothing, water, and counseling for those without shelter, and also for those who have lost loved ones. \r\n\r\nPlease give something, anything, to assist our brothers and sisters in Haiti. Their capital is almost completely destroyed. Lives have been lost and people injured.\r\n\r\nEvery penny helps. Please give generously. Here is one organization you might choose to donate to: Red Cross and their donation call line is: 1-800-435-7669. Thank you everyone.

I called and donated as much as I could afford. I urge you toward compassion and to open your purse or wallet.

I keep thinking that many people here in the USA, do not know the fate of their relatives, and if we were in their place we would want help also.

I took food donations to a local church today. They are setting up teams to heat to Haiti to help. They asked for oatmeal, powdered milk and breakfast bars. We were able to take 16 boxes of oatmeal, 9 boxes of breakfast bars and 3 boxes of powdered milk to them. They are also looking for medications for kids and infants, OTC meds.

You can also text YELE to 501501 to donate $5 - you will have to confirm after the text.

I think that the churches are one of the places that seem to have organiztions to get the supplies to the people quickly.

It is wonderful how the response has quickened because we are realizing how horrific the Haitian's plight really is. Keep praying and donating as you are able. I decided to forego some of my treats, movies, sodas, candy, popcorn, pedicures, etc. I am cutting way back on the groceries. This will allow me to continue to donate on a regular basis, for when these supplies run out, they will need more. Their capital was destroyed. Their government or parliament almost destroyed. The UN HQ gone and many UN Workers dead.

Human nature is to do something and then kind of dismiss it, get back to normal and go on with our lives. I hope this doesn't happen in this instance.

We can donate every time we shop at the grocery store. they give the money to help the Haitians. It's such a good feeling to know we can truly help our neighbors. It's the right thing to do. Please pass this along to friends and relatives. Let's keep the generosity ball rolling.

I heard on the news this morning that they pulled another survivor from the rubble in Haiti! Praise God! Miracles happen. Tomorrow is four weeks since the earthquake. Incredible. I wonder how many more would have been found had not their government called off the rescue. Please continue to donate food and money, etc., to these good people. Thanks.
