Drying Pasta

I love making my own pasta but when I dry it on the rack, the ends curl up and break. Is there a way to dry it flat? Should I put a towel over it? I intend to give this as Christmas gifts and don't want a bunch of little pieces. Thanks

You can dry your pasta on a lightly floured surface, uncovered. You should lightly dust the pasta with flour. The shapes should not be touching each other and they should be turned periodically to allow proper air exposure to all sides. This will allow the shapes to dry evenly.

    Hope this helps!
