Bring your Memorial Day Weekend food ideas to share. Many times we are in the position of only needing to furnish one food choice for a fun cookout or beach party. That means someone else is needing our support, to round out their meal.

Bring your questions on Thursday, and one of our trusty members can advise you. If you aren't sure what to bake, grill, or prepare, we will gladly offer some tasty ideas.

May is Officially: National Barbecue Month, National Hamburger Month, National Salsa Month and National Salad Month. The Month of May highlights fantastic choices. (see our Food For Thought blog for more)

You just might have a special (secret) twist for mixing the best condiments, pickles, seasonings, marinades or dry-rubs. We want you to add your opinions, to help make our weekend food events be a success and a lot of fun. Remember to include recipe ideas from your grandparents, too. As I mentioned in my 10,000 Member post, keeping a loved one's memory alive is precious.

Cocktails, beer or wine choices are valuable suggestions some of us can use, especially if we do not normally serve them, but are expecting guests who would enjoy being served adult refreshments.

HHM invites you to join in, share, bring ideas and please tell your friends. The more the merrier.

Looking for great recipes to try this weekend. Mine is happening on Saturday because I cannot eat on Sunday or Monday, just a liquid diet. But I'll be thinking about all the grand foods you and your families will be enjoying. Early is fine by me because I am going to enjoy as much as I possibly can.

I have a scheduled procedure Tuesday and no solid food Sun or Mon. I have to drink Mr. Yucky stuff, but I did promise to get the test for preventive measure, but did I have to schedule it when I did? I must not have been thinking. You live and you learn. Exciting weekend rolled into one day. I do want to see Pirates Movie.

It is not simple to make but the flavor and the textures is what appeals to so many people. You have the smooth tangy sweetness of the lemon, the slick meringue with the burnt top for a little extra flavor and texture, plus the crust is the foundation. Incredible pie! You Mother and I have something in common.

Our farmers market has really grown this year. They now have cheese makers, buffalo meat, grass raised beef, some exotic meats, a brewery, chocolate shop. Last year it was mainly vegetable stalls and they all sold the same thing at the same price. So I am trying to get used to the new set up and vendors, each week is bringing new things.

I guess that is how far it would have to stretch. Just hope that it would spring back.

Your timing is impeccable Amybyrd. I have to run, but I bet Greg and Catherine can tell you how they make theirs.

Just take ketchup, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, brown sugar, Jalapeño if you want spice. You can vary the spices and sauces you add to make it for whatever mood you are in. Of course, these are not the only sauces to use.
