Well, Annie this sounds like just the relief I need from the stress of selling our house. I told Penny I feel like a deflated balloon and lots of cookie inspiration is exactly what I need to get back into the frame of mind to P-A-R-T-Y!-
I'll begin tomorrow also.
Guess what! I found some of the cookbooks of my Grandmother Mama's! They are musty but as soon as I unearth them (do not know which box) I will photograph them. We used to bake from the recipes and it's going to be a special thrill to see them again. I really thought I had lost them in the 2003 flood. Perhaps I lost a few and I thought I had lost them all. A great boon for me.

ahhh... woudl love to participate but will be at a dance competition for my oldest daughter. Is it ok for me to make them on and write and post photos on Sunday ? -
Going to be a cold, yucky, possibly snowy day here so I will try to bake something and join in at some point. -
Yes....in North Carolina believe it or not! They say it won't stick, but I hope it's enough to get me feeling Christmasey you know?-
I need to get a tree. I love the smell of a Christmas tree. the lights and decorations are powerful. We usually buy our tree a day or two before the 25th and decorate it Christmas Eve and finally sing Silent Night, with all the harmonies. My family, we always sang songs together and it was picture postcard perfect. We didn't have extra money, we had each other and the wonder of the season and our beliefs. I sorely miss my Parents and Grandparents.
The snow will help. I wonder if it is to snow in Maryland. I believe it will be an icy mix. Anything but ice! My Dad said to always respect the ice. Late one night I slipped on a piece of ice which was frozen to the sidewalk. It was about the size of a finger. I was lucky I didn't break anything. So, I remember what he advised.
