If you could take the time to put together a compilation of your favorite recipes and create your very own cookbook, would you?

What types of recipes would you include? Which cuisines are your favorites and would it be a beginner, intermediate, or professional cookbook?

Some of you have already made this important next step, and if you would care to leave links for your cookbooks right in this thread, I invite you to do so. Many of our members might not be aware you have published already.

So, if you could ... would you?

It is quite impressive, too. I have my very own copy, which I purchased for myself as a HBDay gift. It will come in handy over the holidays, too.

I might consider doing this perhaps in about a year, but it would be more of a small cookbook with personal stories, rather than a regular full-blown professional one.

I would like to but I would not know where to begin. I wonder if it would be interesting enough that someone would like to look at it.

Sure thing. Your recipes are grand Catherine and a good beginning would be to write out a table of contents first. Choose your main categories, and then write down the names of seven recipes under each topic, that you particularly love, and go from there. Once you have taken your time to organize it, the rest will fall into place. Get this part completed and I will have more suggestions for you. It'll be great!

The next few months might be the very time to bring a personal recipe compilation to the binding stage. Hmmm

I have often thought of it too. And being a designer, I actually already have an InDesign document started (many years ago... lol). Lately I have thought of getting back to it again, but actually restarting it and instead create a book of all of my GrandMother's recipes.

On another note, if anyone wants help with setting up a book, please let me know would love to help.

    I'm late replying.

    I would absolutely do it.

Problem is, I'm a bit of a hack in the kitchen

As a hack ... Does this mean you hack the meat as you carve? Please explain "Hack".

It means I just fake it most of the time.

      (Actually, it's false modesty)

False modesty is an oxymoron ... yes?

I'm really considering it because my brain has been thinking about some very tasty dishes lately.
