Iron Chef

I do not have cable and havent for some time now. So when I got DSL this week I have been watching at least one episode of Iron chef a day. I got this idea that it would be fun to do a sort of Iron chef challenge once a week. Someone pick an ingredient and we all come up with a recipe for it. Then someone judge it. Do you think this would be fun? Just thought I would ask.

Be really fantastic! The Half Hour Meals Challenge and HHM will come up with prizes for the winner each month. Once a month would be great at first.

Juswt dont pull a giant lobster for the first one. They cost $400 a piece. My daughter was in aww over that one. We decided it would take a lb of butter to eat it.

Of course, I think it would be awesome - I did a variation of this for a year or so on my blog and it was great fun!

I miss the original Iron Chef, complete with dubbing. I thought it was hysterical.

I think we all need to make a recipe and take pictures and blog about it. Then someone picks the best one. Since we cant taste them. That would be fun if we could though. I think the first ingredient should be something to do with fall. Chocolate, pumpkin or something like that.

'Crab' and 'kick' somehow merged in my head to make 'crack' and ... well, unpleasant thoughts! LOL

Beetroot would make an interesting ingredient It seems like people either love beets or hate them. There doesn't seem to be anyone in between.

Tony ... Beet Root? I love beets but, beet root! What about something like MUSHROOMS. There are way too many kinds and it would be lovely to see all of the recipe variations we could get.

      Bacon, Mushrooms and Chocolate?

With halloween coming up, I am certain we will have lots of recipes for this vegetable. I liked the blog Annie did of the roasted ones. It made me want to taste roasted pumpkin. Annie! Send me a pie.

Reminds me, the host for Iron Chef America is a celebrity dance contestant on Dancing WIth The Stars.
