Last Supper

I really like the book, My Last Supper ( www.amazon.com/My-Last-Supper-Portraits-Interviews/dp/1596912871 ) , a book filled with photos of 50 chefs and their own ideas of what a perfect last meal would be.

I'm wondering what everyone else would like?

My favorite comfort food is my mother's fried chicken - cold - with a big glass of milk and a Kosher dill pickle. It's the thing I would root around in the fridge for and eat when I was a teen and came home in the wee hours of the morning after dancing all night or at the movies etc. Started with a bowl of tapenade served with a French baguette, some room temp. goat cheese and very good olive oil. Add to that my own chocolate mousse torte (a real misnomer; it's more of a flourless chocolate cake) and a cup of Colombian coffee and I think I'd be good to go.

... and you'd be very full, too.

African Lobster Tail, Rare Prime Rib, Spinach and Potato Souffle, Asparagus with Hollandaise Sauce, Sliced Beef Tomatoes over Iceberg and Romaine Lettuces, Crisp French Bread with Butter, Creme Brulee with Mixed Berries. Champagne and OJ and a few Cokes. I'd be too sleepy and satisfied to think about it being my last meal.

A seafood buffet type meal. All you can eat shrimp, lobster, crab. then anything cajun, then anything with alot of stringy cheese. I am land locked so I cant get good seafood and the once a year trip to the beach is never enough. I have been to New Orleans once and loved the food. And I love anything with cheese, sausage, and mushrooms on it. Oh and I cant forget my diet wild cherry pepsi that I can only get at one gas station 19 miles from the house.

My hubby's would be pinto beans, fried potatoes, corn bread, and a big deer roast.

My 5 year old wants chinese food lately. He begged for it today.

Rebekka would just eat anything handed to her for her last meal.

This from the man who lives on Ramen! Ha! :-D I just had a Taco Bell burrito this weekend - still living, too. I haven't been there in a very long time - it was a drive by thing.

Derek now Annie is translating for you. I now comprehend you love Ramen noodles, as do I, but you do not like anything Taco Bell. The one where I live is practically brand new and perhaps they have updated their style. I found it delicious, for what it was. It is most of my Mexican cuisine. I do like spanish rice, paella, black bean soup, the giant hat thingy and guacamole sauce. I can tolerate salsa dip but I would prefer french onion dip.
