Hey all..just have to share my awesome news!! My favorite chef, Rick Bayless, is competing on Top Chef Masters. Anyway, he had a poetry contest for invites to his final-viewing party at Frontera Grill in Chicago and I was one of the winners! So...I am off to Chicago tomorrow to meet Rick and eat at his wonderful restaurant!! Will fill you in when I get back!

Never would have thought of Chicago as the "go to place" for Mexican food. Will be interested to hear what you thought of the food.

  It was fantastic! If you have any interest in learning to cook authentic Mexican, I strongly recommend his book "Rick Bayless's Mexican Kitchen". It's not for sissies though as the recipes are detailed and time-consuming (a big,strong potato like you should have no problems). The results are worth the effort I promise! I have been cooking from it for 9 years and never had a "miss" on his recipes.
