I'll let you in on a little secret. With every passing celebration, You are still the same you, only more ... polished. More sure of your convictions and opinions. You'll have shaped and rounded out your personality and weight your choices with more precision. You even appreciate those who guided you, much more. Suddenly they are much smarter than ever we thought. You'll feel anywhere from 5 to 85 (depending on just how many birthdays you see) but the main poiint is to enjoy and live your life.

My birthday was Tuesday, so it was very simple, which was very nice because I hate all the fuss! I treated myself and baked this cake...I saw it in Cook's Illustrated & knew instantly that was my b'day cake!

I wondered if next Friday night we could all do a conference call. It's a free call and all those invited call and when prompted, punch in the access code. This way we could have a party, write down a list of things to discuss and get to know each other even more. Let me know how you feel about doing this.

Well in Oregon there are Oct., Nov., Dec., Jan., Feb., Mar. and now into April showers. Once the rainy season is over, we'll have tons of sunlight, but we're way overdue.

It's funny, but I only like when it rains when I have to go out...well, drizzle not pour- But when I'm at home, I like it bright and sunny!

I'm just the opposite. It doesn't bother me if I don't have to go out in it, although I've gotten used to doing it. At least most of the time it isn't terribly cold here.

No, Catherine, I only have a small deck off my 4th floor apt. I simply wanted to have some fresh herbs. I want to get cilantro and thyme, too. Actually, Rosemary grows all over here, and I'm constantly helping myself to sprigs as I walk. There's so much no one could possibly miss it, and anyway, they'd never catch me!!!

Question about adding recipes here. I know the idea is 30 minute meals, Is it too problematic if not? somehow everything I cook seems to take longer!

No. Just add it and whomever is searching can decide if they want to take the extra time to prepare your recipe. Add them and they will be approved pretty fast. They are working on a faster process. In the meantime I am the one who checks them out. We'd be pleased to have as many as you would care to share.
