Hi. Some of us get together at a specific time. There is usually a theme. This weekend Saturday Night party is pot luck. Cook or bake something, photograph it and show us what you're eating. No camera? Okay, borrow a photograph and share your meal, cooking experience, conversation. This way we get to know each other a little more. We have lovely food lovers here. 8PM

Been looking for a crock pot recipe ... now ... what will my taste buds be in the mood for Saturday night? I'm thinking something seafood'ish over Basmati rice, which has it's very own whole procedure cooking process, for itself. I'm thinking puff pastry containers, too.

Talking about crockpot. These past three days I have been battling the flu and have sleeping non stop. But yesterday worried as to what my husband and kids would eat I quickly put two cornish hens, a package of onion soup and a beer in the crockpot and let it cook. Well I have not tried it, not will I be able to as supposedly they liked it so much all was gone. 15 minutes prior to serving, they added some penne inside the crockpot and that was dinner.

Tomorrow I hactually have to attend a dinner party, but will be bringing desert, a typical Portuguese cake made with Maria cookies. Will post it later

Tell it to the judge. Really it's fine we're just hanging out.

I have to go upstairs to the loft in order to upload my photos. I am almost finished my dinner and this is the first time today thst I ahrv sat down to relax. Was on the computer and still blogging about helping our Haitian neighbors. I felt guilty going to the store tonight. But we donated another $20.00 because Safeway food store and Giant and all of the other local chains have dedicated $100K each for the rescue. It is sad and I wish I could magically make it disappear as if it never happened.

I prepared a varied tossed green salad, Fried whole Wheat French Bread with Garlic powder and butter. Orzo (which I am am now hooked on, thanks to Anniepooh) Sauteed large shrimp and lump crabmeat with old bay seasonings. Blood Red Orange soda. We are happy campers! But no dessert and we did not over eat. Photos in a few minutes.

I did not have seconds. Melody gave me Julie and Julia for Christmas and I have watched it a few times. It is a feel good movie. Mary, my other sister, told me she carried Julia's bags for her once. They shared a seat on the train. Mary used to work for Amtrak. How cool is that!

When I was growing up, I always got the wing because there were seven of us and I was the baby. So I would buy chicken wings and cook them and most every one of my friends would look at me as if I didn't know what I was doing and must have thought poor girl. Well one day everyone was eating chicken wings and they were on all of the menus. My secret was out. Chicken wings are so delicious.

When my niece was visiting me, she's is going to have a baby in the summer, I am thrilled!!! Anyway, we ordered from Pizza Hut about ten days ago. We got wings and mixed sauces. The Asian sauce was outstanding. Spot on perfect.

How easy is it to create a chat room for our Cafe`? That would make conversation easier and we could still post the photos and comments. A pop up chat on the same page is something to think about.

I am too late! I just came back from having dinner out with hubby and a couple of friends! I thought of my friends here at HHM though so as I enjoyed my food I thought of all of you! (and ate for all of you too!)

Slow-roasted prime rib and Alaskan snow crab, kung pao shrimp and lemon herb roasted salmon (that and coffee, wonderful dessert, delicious salad, etc...) oh! how am I going to sleep now?

I pulled the bread apart and allowed it to cool. The crunch is exciting to my ears. They are ... I am told, connected to my taste buds.

The flavor ... I like to get some burnt bits on the bread because it adds such robust flavors and my palate loves the combination.

No blue ice cream. Muffins (like the other day) or strawberry pie with glaze and whipped cream. What a beautiful pie that is.

I keep forgetting, Jason BlogCatalog HHM is giving away Rose Levy's new cookbook. See the thread. He has two cakes and I finally purchased the bleached AP flour and new dark cocoa powder. Want to bake a cake over the next 3 days?

It looks as if I missed our best party yet! As anyone who is my friend on FB knows, we are down with a stomach virus. I tried to get on last night, but fell asleep. Nursing children, hubby and yourself is a bit tiring. I'm hoping to catch a few minutes today to read through everything.

Catherine was as ever such a wonderful guest and she has such a splendid party personality. Her food is always a fine display for us to enjoy.
    and the music.

I took yesterday off because my Joe wanted me in the studio. Cool.

Thanks and now everyone ... go cook something scrumptious and upload more recipes.
