This post is to determine how many of you food and wine bloggers in the Southeast (NC,SC,GA,FLA,TN,MS and AL) would be interested in joining a guild a few of us are thinking about forming. We are in the planning stages now, so we don't have a lot of information...just want to see how many people might want to join. At this point I can tell you that there will be annual membership dues (should be no more than $25-$30). I can also tell you that, as of right now, our mission for this guild is to Inform our members, Promote our members and their blogs, to Protect our members intellectual property, and to Connect our members with each other. We also plan to do community outreach projects to help combat hunger in our region as well as other service pojects. What is a guild and what do you do?

  A Guild is an association of craftsmen in a particular trade. This Guild would help Food and Wine bloggers in the Southeast by keeping them informed...things like blogging tips and ways to get more traffic to your blog, we would promote our members blogs, help each other protect our intellectual property, and help keep each other connected. We also plan to do service projects to raise money for food-related charities like Feeding America. So...in a nutshell, it's a mutually beneficial organization for people with a common interest.
