Sunday Is Mother's Day

Mother's Day is the biggest holiday celebrated worldwide. It is the day set aside to honor the women who are Mothers, and also those women who offer the love of a Mother.

Please share a little of how you see this day, the special women in your life and how you plan on celebrating. If you are still going to cook, how will you set your table and plan your meal?

If there are other, unique ways you have of making this day a special occasion, tell us about it, for you might give someone a fresh idea to try.

On behalf of all of the staff at Half Hour Meals, Happy Mother's Day!

Above all thank you very much Theresa and the same to you. Whether a woman is n actual "Mom" or not, somehow somewhere she did play that role. Whether being a Mom to a nephew or niece (much as my Aunt does), having a cat or dog and so on.

And a Happy Mother's day to you all!

Mother's day was celebrated last Sunday in Europe, not sure why different dates. Should it not be all the same all over the world? We usually do not do much. We stay at home, my hubby usually grills something nice I enjoy. Restaurants are filled with people. This year will be pretty uneventful as he has to work most of the weekend. So I will spend the day with my girls. Hopefully it will be nice enough we can spend it outside!

Do the girls make you homemade cards or pick wild flowers?

The older one likes to create a scrap book of all the good times we had this past year. The little one is still too little!

That is beautiful. my Aunt whom never got married or had children (even though I consider her my second Mother) still to date makes my grandfather's favorite desert on his birthday and Father's day.

That is the honor and tribute we show those whom we love and who have passed before us. Cool!

Dear Theresa, I cook for my two blessings in my life, my son and my daughter. I make their favorites. I have always looked at their presence in my life as an honor and a responsibility from the Lord. I lost my Mom and Dad a long time ago. There will always be a very big void but memories help to fill that void. They never met my kids, but I think they may have sent them with love to me. I don't want to be celebrated on this day. I am thankful on this day for the blessing of being a mom.

Catherine you must know that you are their blessing. I think you are much too modest. What are you planning to cook for these wonderful children? Were I nearby, I would drop in to help out.

I would so love to have you for a neighbor, and would so love to cook with you. Thank you.

Now all I have to do is convince Joe to move there. We would have such fun in the kitchen!
