Super bowl party anyone?

Is anyone throwing a super bowl party? We are, not sure as to how many people yet. As of now with children we will be approx 50. Here\'s what will be in the menu for now:\r\n\r\nStuffed mushrooms\r\ncucumber with cream cheese and smoked salmon\r\nspicy gizzards\r\nspicy wings\r\ntomato and mozzarella salad\r\nshrimp pastries (Rissois de camarao)\r\nSpicy shrimps with garlic sauce\r\nChocolate mousse\r\nPortuguese cookie cake\r\nCheese platter\r\nVeggie plater\r\nFruit platter

You can't go wrong with velveeta, spicy sausage (such as Jimmy Dean) and Ro-Tel for a dip in the crock pot!

ahhh yes very true. There is a dip I make that always disappears pretty fast. Similar to what you are saying plus a few more ingredients. Check it out at: worldtapas.blogspot.com/2009/11/spicy-cheese-and-meat-dip.html

ok, decided on main dish, in honor of the Saints and Mardi Gras being earlier this year Gumbo will be. never made it so we will see! I already have a recipe from a good friend from there, but does anyone have other good Gumbo recipes I can read?

Because of the snow and blizzard, everyone here has tried to exhaust the grocery stores. We went last night and then today I went back for kitchen trash bags and 6 bags later ... You know, once you have slid into their mind-boggling abyss, you cannot leave until you have purchased things you don't even need.
