The holidays and winter is over and many of us are gearing up for Passover, March 29th through April 5th, and for Palm Sunday, March 28th and Easter Sunday, April 4th.

Sometimes we join sites and drift away from the community. Then we stop by and see lots of new faces, names and great recipes.

We would love to hear more about you and your lifestyle. Nothing is too trivial because family life is the core of what drives most of us, home and professional cooks.

Please take some time to share a bit more about yourself and feel free to ask any of us a question, too. As we drop by the discussions we can leave our comments and learn more about our fellow food lovers.

I am camera shy because I am not twenty anymore. Today I came out of the shy closet to expose my true self. No makeup and needing to lose weight. I refuse to hide away any longer. I am embracing life and I hope you approve.

Well above all as usual I enjoyed reading your entry, what I saw through the photos was the impression I already had of you. A very warm person, with a strong intellectual side to her and love for life and whatever comes her way and a passion for food!

Dear Theresa, Sometimes we all retreat, we think, we pray and then we bloom, that is the important part. We always come out better and wiser and with a new perspective on life. There are no mistakes. The Dear Lord has a reason for all of that we go through. Hugs, Catherine

I was just re-reading this thread and what you said about "I'm not 20 anymore" struck a cord with me. You know what? I wouldn't want to be 20 again.....honestly...would you? Really? I am so much more than I was back then, and even though I don't look the same, I realize I wouldn't want to because I have finally grown into "me" if you know what I mean. Do I wish I was thinner? You bet!! Do I want to be 20 again? No way! Theresa you are a talented, caring, giving person, who is beautiful on the inside, and as I told you the other day, I think you look like the actress Lena Olin!! Embrace yourself girl...you are terrific!

      Penny,

Thanks. You know I like who I am, who I have become but I do yearn for that 20 year old body, because I could shop faster, was more active and my knees didn't ache, even when I wore stilettos and jumped up and down on stage to the rhythm of the music. I never entertained the thought that down the road, my knees would not perform the same. But, today's youth have so much BS to wade through that there is too much time dealing with the me, me, me, thought patterns of their peers. Seems like there is such combativeness, even going out to a dance. I much prefer the safer, happier times when people didn't carry weapons to clubs, you could stand out on the street corner without worrying about drive-by shootings and everyone didn't have extreme moral issues, as they have today.

So ... other than the healthier body, I am happy with me. I have a plan to get back into shape and promise to continue to embrace life and all of the lovely friends I have.

What am I? A person supposedly originally from Portugal , who lived a little all over, French history and its culture being my strongest influence. I have three passions in my life. My family, cooking and the design & marketing world. I am the happiest when I have a house filled with children, screaming, dancing, singing and hungry to eat what I make them. Every chance we have we have people over, winter and summer. I too am no young chicken, almost 42 yet still feel like a kid. Wonder when I will actually grow up.

Don't do it. Be responsible but never, never lose your childlike wonder and love for life. I wish we had children. At one time, I wanted six kids. Oh well. You sound like you have so much fun with the family and your friends coming over. We seldom entertain because of our fierce work schedules and Joe working on a new CD.

Oh.. I do not think I will ever grow up. Too fun feeling like a kid. I do understand about time. Rarely go to bed before midnight, then restart my days by 5am. Bet. work, kids, volunteering, freelance and now the blogs... not enough time in the day for everything. Cooking is my escape, hence cooking for 4 or 100 feels the same to me

In the movie, "Under The Tuscan Sun", Diane Lane is speaking with her friend and is told, "To live sperically ... many things and directions at the same time". This way life is lived to the fullest.

Theresa! You're BEAUTIFUL! I hope you weren't degrading yourself - I think you're lovely - much prettier than I'd actually thought, honestly

Wow! Thank you so much. It's just that sometimes I feel like if people saw I had to lose weight and I wasn't looking like I was 20 years before, that maybe they wouldn't like me as much. I appreciate your kind words and now that I don't have to be so shy anymore perhaps we can get together without me feeling embarrassed. I feel great!

Following my investigation, thousands of persons in the world get the loan from well known creditors. Thus, there is a good possibility to get a bank loan in all countries.

Theresa you are beautiful. I am 44 years old and love my age, I would never ever want to be in my 20's again!! I am more interesting now and smarter. I also think my lines around my eyes are cute...they show how much I have lived, loved, laughed and cried!!

One more reason I love it here. After I left the grocery store, I walked half a block and paused at a rosemary bush, which had just been washed by the rain. I snipped off a few pieces, took them home and roasted chicken with FRESH rosemary!!!

Reminds me of sister, Mary, stealing flowers to take to church for daily Mass, back when we were young kids.

I bet your fresh herbs went splendidly with your roasted chicken. I wish I had some.
