Found out that Penny isn't the only one expecting snow in North Carolina. Tomorrow, December 5, 2009, The Washington, DC Metro Area will be receiving a fair amount 2" to 4" of the white fulffy stuff.
What are some of your favorite foods and beverages to prepare when you get this weather?

Hot apple cider, hot chocolate, cookies, pie, sandwiches and ice cream.

chili, chicken stew, deer stew, spaghetti, egg drop soup. These are staples to have on hand when the weather gets cold. It is suposed to snow near here too but not that much. (Which means that we will have a foot) I havent dealt with pigs in the snow so we will have to see how that goes. -

I have lots of photographs we got about six to seven inches of the fluffy white snow. I'm happy!

Big pot of chili is always a winner when it's snowing. And then hope you get enough snow for some snow cream. :-) -
Onion soup! Chili, hot wine, fondue bourguignonne, cheese fondue or raclette. Here in WI we are also getting snow, expecting to have up to 14 inches by midday Wednesday -
we got some snow/slush mix today, supposed to get more tonight and tomorrow.. I wish it would wait a week or so, because I still have to drive an hour to get to class and I don't want snow/ice making the drive even more sucky.
But I like the snow. I usually play in it, and then come inside to a nice cold glass of water. Except when I'm with friends snowboarding, then I drink a lot of different things. Such as, fun juice, energy drink vodka, different shots, rum n coke, and other things. -

Okay, so we had over two feet of snow and it is still non-stop! It's been snowing since 9:45PM and it's supposed to continue until sometime tomorrow. Whew!
Look at my pics:

This is a little bit nutty - I didn't expect so much and I have TONS left to do for Christmas. I don't think I'll get it all done.
