Seems like I am pretty good at eating healthy food during the week and as soon as the weekend comes around it's anything and everything.

What did you enjoy for you so obviously did? We had breakfast out at iHops Saturday and Ruby Tuesday's Saturday night. It lets' me have a little time out from the home and listen tot he clink, clatter and conversations in the restaurants. Unfortunately there is usually something wrong with either the service or the food preparations. This weekend we had very good servers. The cooks only rated a B- . That's eating out. Sometimes it's right and most of the time it's not. I do wish everyone believed in quality.

Scheduling! Sounds trite, eh? Really, during the week you don't get much of a choice about mealtimes when you'e working, and so make more conscious choices, but on the weekends (when nobody is looking) it's a free-for-all. I'm always of the mind that, as long as you eat healthy for the majority of the time, the occasional 'bad munchie' won't kill you.

We try to eat healthy all the time here. I am currently on a junk food ban as I do not buy it except for hubby;s lunch and he has cut way back. Now I will make sweets all the time all though I cant eat them. It doesnt matter if it is the weekend or not here. We are always near home and rarely eat out.

I tried my darnedest to get Joe to conveniently forget about my ice cream denial, except for Sundays, but he drove right by the ice cream parlor. I felt like a small child with my nose almost pressed against the window. Bye-bye ice cream :-(

My daughter found something with a little more guilt to it. Bacon ice cream and chili con carne ice cream. Two bad things in one package. I may try the bacon but not the chili oh and she found kraut ice cream.

I watched a Tampa chef on one of the newer blogs and he made, get this ... Bacon Bananas with a reduced rum sauce and a dollop of ice cream in the shape of a small football. I tell you ladies and gents sometimes Mama Teesa (my nickname) just wants to lick the computer screen.

Awesome. I'm going to bake corn this way, remove the bacon and not tell my husband. Ha. He will eat it and say, "That was really good." But he hardly eats meat, sometimes crispy bacon, never chicken, Ugh. Hard to cook for both of us sometimes. Lots of shrimp though and pasta dishes.
