Everyone of us gets busy and I thought this would be a good thread whereby we can catch up on what everyone has been doing lately. Springtime always heralds in outside activities and sports. It also helps us decide what cuisine or grilled foods we might choose to prepare.

Give us a hint as to your weekly agenda and which foods you are including.

My daughter and I are planting a garden. We are planting both veggies and flowers. It is fun work.

This has been a week of planning, organizing, writing, socializing, talking food and some world events. The plan is to get my husband into the kitchen for a Saturday date. I hope he will want to try cooking again.

Here are a few photos of our Living the Gourmet victory garden.

So far, we have tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, squash, strawberries, green beans and sugar snap peas.

We have our herbs in flower pots, separate from our little garden patch. There is still some more work left to do, but we are very proud of all the hard work that has been put into our Living the Gourmet garden.

It is so satisfying using fresh home-grown herbs in my recipes! I love going out to the backyard picking some fresh basil, parsley, sage, Italian oregano, Greek oregano and so much more.. . I cannot wait for the tomatoes to grow !

What's growing in your little garden?

Oh my gosh Lady Gourmet, you have a beautiful garden.

The only thing I have in my garden is flowers.
The only eatable thing I have grown that you could actually eat is tomatoes.

Thank you everyone for liking my garden. I wish I could have you all over to sit by it and chat and have a bite to eat, that would be so nice. Blessings to you all.

I went downstairs to eat soup and then I took a much needed nap. I didn't need convince myself to lie down. It's always strange waking up afterward. Almost as if I am in a fog or daze. Better get writing.
