I just saw a website for fancy aprons designed with almost everyone in mind.

www.simplysavvyaprons.com/

Go take a look see then return and tell us which ones you might try on.

Want to hear from the cooks who have a special apron and what it looks like.

I have my green Pall Mall apron from that famous club where my bands used to perform @ in Georgetown, WDC. I sure am glad I saved it!

I have a red StarBucks apron I asked a manager for and he gave it to me after the Holiday season, Cool!

I have my student waist aprons from L'Academie de Cuisine.

I have some from where I worked (older ones) and a few I have purchased ... professional bib aprons.

I have a blue denim apron from Pampered Chef.

I don't do frilly and fastidiously feminine or provocative maid aprons. Ha!

Ooooh My! Aprons? Just what is it we’re serving?

Gee, I don’t know... the Madonna type bustier might be a bit of a squeeze. I’d have to find one in a 38-40 inch waist and a 51 inch chest. The fishnets, however, are out of the question. I’m not shaving my legs… period! :-D

Ooh lovely man you have such a good and delightful sense of humor. I bet you keep the Mrs. in stitches!

I haven't decided on one yet. I'll pop over and make some pretend virtual purchases.

Ooh look to the right and the ads are for more aprons!)

Madeline (shocking) Pink Polka Dot Apron could go with my black chef pants, only if I have them taken in to be form fitting. the lose, comfortable giant size (for coolness) wouldn't look right without alteration.

I missed this yesterday. We would be serving up Hair cuts and shampoos. Every time I see this I bubble up with laughter. In the back of my mind something looked a bit strange, but you know, I thought hey, it's trendy! Posh!

You know ... I'm wondering now if I read this all wrong. I think it might be more for the SALON as in hair salon. Not kitchen. Ha ha ha ha ha ha

The short-cut thing is definitely salon wear and not kitchen garb. I know that I’d not want to be wearing that shorty thing when the ol’ Fry-O-Lator belches. Ooooooooh… the pain! Try explaining that in the ER. :-D

      That’s more like it.

The owner of a small bar/restaurant that my girlfriend and I worked for, insisted that all of the kitchen staff wear a toque. I hate those things; with a passion! I made the toque of toques out of white construction paper and glued a regular toque to the top of it. It was about 3 feet tall: Mind you, I’m almost 6 feet tall. The owner was an older German woman with a great sense of humor, fortunately for me. The owner was in the main dining room getting ready for that evening. The staff brought me out and introduced me as the new “Big-Head” chef. It was definitely funny. What was even funnier was when I started across the dining room, I got clocked by one of the ceiling fans. Half the patrons at the bar damn near fell off their stools. I always believed in serving good food with a splash of humor.

I like this one, just wish they had it in a bib style as it's my shirt that gets the worst abuse when I'm cooking for some reason.

Buck, you need a chef's jacket and then toss it into the washer. They have bib aprons, but you're wanting one with stripes?

Here is a bib apron in stripes.

Oh, I like that black striped one on that page. I also am fond of the one with the Dia de los Muertos motif! Very apropos for Tucson in autumn! (We have a famous parade for Dia de los Muertos in November).

I tried to pronounce this person's name in my mind and failed miserably. I'll research it and hope they show the phonetical pronunciation for it.

Hold on. I didn't look it up yet. Does it mean day of the dead? muertos. Tell me if I got it right please.

I know this won't be a popular stance-- but I HATE ALL APRONS! They look cute on other people; but I feel stupid in them! Also, I would rather mess up clothes than cute aprons! lol
