It is snowing lightly here in the Washington, DC area, and petty heavily in the Southern States, and heading up toward New York and New England States.

How are you going to spend this time since many of you are snowbound?

Tell me what you have in mind to cook or bake.

Supposed to be back up in the 70's in Tucson by the weekend. Although, we did get to see snow last weekend when we went up to Prescott Valley to visit family. Very pretty, but waaay too cold (low 20's).

that tasted really good. It's too cold to go outside (besides being dark), and I will pretend to make angels in the snow. Waiting for Catherine 'cause she said the angels were having pillow fights round about her neck of the woods. If I could choose a next door neighbor it would be Catherine!

It's currently 52 in Portland, OR. We keep our snow in the mountains out here, where it belongs!

Do you ever go skiing? I just read on-line where 80 skiers had to be rescued from a lift in Ohio. That's twice lately.

We got Snow on Wednesday. She's a 5-year-old Cockapoo we adopted from a family who were giving her up because of their travel schedule. She's a beautiful and very well-mannered little lady. And, of course, I baked her homemade treats right off.

Dear Sugarpies. I am also adoptable, and I like to think I share some of Snow's character traits. I am very fond of treats, and I don't eat much.

I've got a few more including one with bacon. I haven't posted it yet on the blog because I didn't want to suddenly have an entire week or two of doggie treat recipes.

We're at the time of year out here when we have nice warm days - normally in the 70's but sometimes peaking in the 80's and then nice cool nights around 45-50. Best time to be in the desert. By June you won't want to venture outside. LOL

We are supposed to be in the line of a snow storm coming through. I plan on making bread pudding from the loaf of dinner rolls (that sounds funny), I baked. My husband is excited for he loves this dessert.

Apparently Father Winter isn't finished with us (United States) yet. The biggest and baddest storm is due to be here beginning Tuesday, February 1st. Ya'll be careful and let me know what weather you get and what you're filling your belly with to keep cozy and warm.

Keeping fingers crossed that the temperatures stay above freezing and that we only get plain rain ... no light show or rumbling or grumbling from the clouds. Tonight orzo with bacon, brussels sprouts, cucumbers and mushrooms and roasted chicken. Ice cream and chocolate syrup.

There was some snow yesterday up in the mountains but down here just rain. We seem to be back to Winter in the desert too and it's supposed to be down in the 20's overnight the next several days with highs only in the 40's and 50's. Positively, arctic!

I'm thinking of doing some French Onion Soup Wed. or Thurs. depending on when I get the baking done for the homeless project.

Yes, here's one worth reviving. It was cold as blue blazes here today, but clear as a bell. There's a wonderful sunset taking its last bows in the West. Peace is upon our land.

We are in a freezing zone! The ice will be forming tonight, since it warmed up a little today, but now it will be cold tonight and everything will freeze...This is such a silly winter! It just keeps snowing!

Keep the ovens on and bake lots of goodies you and Tammy can wrap and freeze for later use. Dress in layers.
