If you love mushrooms and wine, you have to try this recipe! It's quick, easy, cheap, and delicious, so if you aspire to be more handy in the kitchen, this is a good dinner recipe to help you cultivate your interest in cooking. It can be served as an entrée or a side dish, and it pairs well with just about anything, including the rest of the bottle of red wine! More

Halftime of the Super Bowl is one of my favorite times of the year -- not because of the musical entertainment, but for the food! This halftime chili con carne is a staple at all of our Super Bowl parties and will be a sure hit if you decide to make this up for the big game! This chili is also a great leftover dish that you can enjoy for the entire week. I use Molson Canadian for the beer in this dish, but any good lager beer will do. We have also made this chili with Sleeman's Original Draft, which turned out quite well. The beer does add quite a bit of flavour to this chili. More

Buffalo chicken pizza is a spicy food lovers spin on good old pizza pie. This is a fantastic dish to serve at events like the SuperBowl and you'll likely find that most of your friends have never tried it, so you'll get extra points for originality. This pizza rocks - you'll definitely want to try this dish! You can adjust the ingredients to suit your individual taste. For instance, you might want to use a bit more buffalo wing sauce than I have listed depending on your ability to handle the heat. If you wish, you may even want to amp up the spice by adding your amount own hot sauce to the sauce base. I used Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce for my dish - you can use this or any other wing sauce you prefer. Frank's is my favorite but it does have a distinct taste that some people do not enjoy. These chicken tacos are super simple to make, but man are they good! They have a fiery sauce that really gives them a lot of flavor, and the chili onion rings are a fun garnish. Try these tacos tonight and your family will beg you to make them more often! More

I think everyone's mom or family member had a recipe for stuffed peppers they remember from their youth. Maybe not everyone feels this way, but I always loved stuffed peppers. This recipe is different than my Mother's, but still very very yummy. I mixed it up with a few green olives, paprika, and garlic. The peppers came out so yummy! I think that this will stay on rotation. Maybe with a little lamb and feta? Oh the possibilities. Enjoy! More

I love chicken sandwiches, especially spicy ones! This is a simple recipe that you can make when you want something a little more exciting than the everyday sandwich. Spicy chipotle mayonnaise gives it some kick, while the avocado adds some creaminess. You could even make the chicken by itself and serve with some rice and veggies, instead of making a sandwich. There are so many ways to enjoy this simple recipe! More

This tortellini salad is great for an outdoor picnic or a light lunch indoors as well. The tangy dressing really gives it some kick, while the prosciutto adds some saltiness. Creamy ricotta tops it off and makes this a delightful salad that is quick and ready to eat in about 30 minutes! More

I love a good thick spicy gumbo. The restaurant I work at has the best gumbo ever. I wanted to recreate my own version to make and enjoy at home. In gumbo, roux is key and if burned or undercooked can result in not so good gumbo. Since my favorite gumbo from the restaurant is top secret, I searched around for something close I could follow. The finished product turned out really yummy and spicy. Enjoy! A Classic Gumbo Recipe from Southern Living magazine More

We all get sick of eating beef and chicken sometimes, but it can be hard to think of alternatives. Pork chops are actually one of my favorite new proteins to cook with. Dubbed "the other white meat", pork chops are great because they are as versatile as chicken, yet healthier than beef. This recipe is so simple, but really has some kick with spicy cumin and a mango salsa that will knock your socks off. More

I don't think that there is any two foods as complementary as pork and apples. This is a dish that brings the two together, complemented further by pecans and a sweet reduction made up of butter, cinnamon and brown sugar. This is actually a very easy dish to prepare and cook that will come across as something much harder to pull off. You and your guests will be amazed by the results. More

remember when I was a kid loving cold pasta salads on a hot summer night. Nothing heavy and nothing rich. One of my favorite restaurants in Green Bay is Grapevine Cafe, and they have a chicken pesto pasta salad to die for. One steamy night in Wisconsin I decided it was the perfect time to whip up my own batch of this yummy salad. This recipe gave me exactly what I was looking for, and reminded me of one of my favorite restaurant to go to with my family or my girlfriends. Enjoy! More

I love having noodles. During my childhood noodles would be our morning breakfast on Sundays and till we follow the same as a custom. And the Sunday noodles was generally made by Baba. And that used to be ultimate. Now that I am away from my parents, I miss my Sunday breakfast, but every week I have noodles at least two times . Because I love to have variety in my food, this variation of noodles was created in the process. All I can say is ... you should try this. More

I'm a die hard fan of Korean food and Dolsot bibimbap (돌솥 비빔밥, "dolsot" meaning "stone pot"), is my favorite one. Almost every second day I eat this. It is served in a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul (sautéed and seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste). A raw or fried egg and sliced meat are common additions. The ingredients are stirred together thoroughly just before eating. The Stone pot (dolsot) is so hot that anything that touches it sizzles for minutes. Before the rice is placed in the bowl, the bottom of the bowl is coated with sesame oil, making the layer of the rice touching the bowl golden brown and crispy. More

An Italian omelet that can be varied to include fresh vegetables and much more. Cut is small pieces and served at room temperature Frittata is a treat with a glass of wine. This is a recipe that calls out for creative variations, asparagus, bell pepper, scallions, mushrooms, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, smoked fish, herbs from the garden, yesterday's ratatouille, tomato sauce, salsa, chili, or even caviar, etc. If you have eggs, seasonings, a trusty skillet or nonstick pan, and are willing to take a chance you will succeed. This dish was inspired by one of my favorite dishes to order at one of my favorite restaurants- Cafe Mario in Green Bay. I am not sure how Mario makes his grouper, but I think I came pretty close with this recreation. I am a big fan of olives so anything you put them in I will probably love. This is really simple, but has big flavors. I think it is best served with a nice salad and another green veggie. Delicious. Enjoy! More

This is a very aromatic dish. I have used famous Italian hazelnuts, IGP Giffoni Hazelnuts. You can substitute finely chopped roasted hazelnuts with the same amount of chopped hazelnuts. If you've never eaten this dish, I adivse you not to sprinkle with cinnamon so you can enjoy the aromatic taste of hazelnuts. More

Seafood salad or Thai called "Yam Thale" Every bite of this seafood salad offers a taste-explosion of Thai flavors! At the same time, the dressing never overpowers the fresh taste of the seafood, but rather brings out all of its natural succulence. While nearly every nation bordering an ocean has its own type of seafood salad, you'll definitely find this Thai version to be one of the best! Makes a great appetizer, side dish, or even a main course. More
