7-Up Cake

My grandma rubie dee made this cake for me when i was a young girl and I decided as an adult to try to make the cake and it came out perfect, even though i haven't taken a picture yet, but will add soon. thanks

3 cups Sugar
3 cups flour
5 eggs
3 tsp Lemon Extract
3 tsp vanilla extract
3 stick butter softened
3/4-1cup 7up soda
2-21/2 cups powdered sugar
lemon juice as desired
Preparation
beat butter, sugar and eggs til light and fluffy, add vanilla and lemon extracts, work in flour little at a time until well mixed. Slowly add 7up and beat until light and fluffy. Coat pan with oil lightly and flour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, bake for about 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean. Lemon glaze: In a bowl add the powdered sugar and butter and pour slowly lemon juice and whisk by hand, add more juice as needed until mixture is thick, but not too thick to pour. Drizzle on top of cake.
