1/2 pkg (1 cup) Crisco (melted and cooled) mix in crisco
4 Eggs (beat very well,until pale white)
add grated orange
2 cups Sugar (add gradually to eggs) and lemond rind (Op)
4 1/2 cups flour
8 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 cup orange juice
Alternate juice and dry ingredients to the batter.
Shape into a ball or scoop on to cookie sheet with ice-cream scoop and bake @350 for 15 minutes.
