Baked Salmon

Submitted by:

Description

Fresh fish is one of the easiest, healthiest proteins you can make. Salmon tends to be my favorite because I love its flavor, and it goes well with many different seasonings and marinades. If you are looking for a healthy, quick meal, this salmon is perfect for you. Try this simple recipe tonight and serve it with some steamed veggies and roasted potatoes. Enjoy!

add to shopping list Ingredients

1 salmon filet (about 1 pound), washed and skin removed
2-4 tablespoons fresh chopped dill, and thyme
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon oil

Preparation

Cut salmon into equal pieces. Sprinkle with salt and pepper on both sides, and then sprinkle with herbs as well. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Pour small amount of oil into a baking dish, and spread evenly on bottom of the pan. Place fish in the pan. Cook for about 15 minutes or until fish flakes easily.

We LOVE baked salmon. I usually serve it with brown rice and a veg. Lately we're enjoying sauteed swiss chard. Yum!
