Big Al's Hot and Sweet Sausage Sandwich
Description
Very easy crockpot recipe! I used just sweet Italian Sausage as we do not like the hot. You can brown the sausage if you want, but not necessary.

4-5 lbs Italian Sausages
1 26 oz Spaghetti Sauce/or homemade
1 lg Vidalia Onion, sliced
1 Green Pepper, core, seed and slice
1 Red Pepper, core, seed and slice
4 tb dark brown sugar
Italian Rolls, sliced
provolone cheese, sliced
Preparation
Combine sausages, spaghetti sauce, onion, peppers and sugar in 5-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook for LOW-8-10 Hours, or HIGH-4-6 Hours. May brown sausage if you want to enhance the flavor of end dish. Serve on rolls with sauce/veggie mixture and top with cheese.
