Bunny's Fancy Figs with a wine drizzle

Submitted by: theparishouse

Description

These lovely and delicious fresh figs are filled with a small ball of fresh mozzarella and wrapped in a thin slice of prosciutto. They are then baked in an oven for a few minutes until golden and bubbly. After they are removed from the oven I drizzle a splash of Tracy's wine drizzle over the top to give them a little extra sass. I discovered Tracy's wine drizzles while on vacation in the Niagara on the Lake region of Canada while browsing in a little cooking boutique. This is guaranteed to delight your guests and it is done in only minutes.

Preparation

Pre-heat the oven to 375- 400 degrees
make a slice in each fig
fill each fig with one ball of cheese
wrap each fig in a thin slice of ham
bake in oven until golden and bubbly.
They cook fast so be careful they do not burn
When they come out of the oven splash a little drizzle over the top.
serve

Michele, This dish looks really interesting. You are going to get me to buy figs for sure. Can the mozzarella balls be purchased at a regular store? (Shout @ Me!)
