The nicest thing about this recipe is that you'll never need to apply butter (or margarine) to your corn on the cob again! The corn comes right from the grill with full butter flavour and more. Given the fact that the corn is never boiled, the full flavour is kept in during the cooking process on the grill.

You will never boil corn again -- I promise!

4 cobs of corn
1/2 tsp salt (each)
1 tbsp butter or margarine (each)

1) Preheat your grill to high heat. Place the cobs of corn on the grill, turning each after a few minutes on each side. Individual kernels of corn should begin to brown slightly on each side that is facing grill down and should begin to turn a deeper yellow colour as it cooks.

2) When the entire cob has been browned on the grill (approx. 10 minutes), begin to transfer two cobs at a time into a sheet of tinfoil off to the side of the grill. Add salt and butter to the tinfoil package before sealing completely. You may want to add a second layer of tinfoil to seal in the open side to ensure that butter does not leak onto the grill.

3) Place tinfoil packages back on the grill. You'll begin to hear the butter sizzling inside the tinfoil. Turn every few minutes to ensure both sides of the cob are cooked equally.

4) After about 10-15 minutes (or when you can't hear the sizzle of the butter any longer), remove the tinfoil from the grill. Let stand for 5 minutes to cool down. Open up the tinfoil and enjoy! There is no need to add butter or salt before eating -- you'll find that the grilled corn is full of flavour!

Tip: you could also use garlic butter as a substitute for extra flavour.
