Cattle Drive Chili

This is a simple recipe. Which I have cooked at the campsite and for potlucks. All done in a large skillet.

Preparation

Brown beef or turkey in a hot skillet; season with salt. Add onions, water, chili paste,chipotle chili (optional) tomatoes, sugar. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Uncover, add beans (including liquid) if desired, and cook for another 1/2 hour. Water can be added for best consistancy.

You should give some chipotle chilis (canned or powder) a shot for that great smoky taste. Also, throw in some molasses--not much, just a taste. Trust me.
