Choco-Mania Cake

Chocolate obsession can reach a new high with this choc-mania cake recipe from Andon-Reid Inn Bed and Breakfast in Waynesville, North Carolina; a BnBFinder listed inn.

1/2 cup butter
1 cup Sugar
3 ounces baking chocolate, melted
1/4 cup flour
3 eggs beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar.
Add the chocolate, eggs and vanilla.
Blend well and the add the flour.
Fold in till blended.
Bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Let cool for 10 minutes and then serve.
You can also cover it for the next day and heat it in the microwave for 20 seconds and then serve with vanilla ice cream and the whipped cream.

I made this over the weekend and it was fabulous. I used a dark chocolate, and with the 1 cup of sugar it was sweet enough that the kids enjoyed it as well. I also topped it with some fresh berries to give it a little color.

Made this last night to glowing reviews! Deep, dark chocolate flavor and great crumb. BTW, I used a 8" spring-form pan and I adjusted the recipe to include a pinch of salt. Served with a dollop of whipped cream, and this easy cake is a winner!

It could be a 5 star recipe but I have seen this happen to often that they submit a recipe and don't give you a pan size which is key to making something work properly. To bad I have to guess. So until I figure it out one star.
Isn't there someone out there that checks this stuff before they print it?
