Sister taught me how to do this.. Made this treat for cheap homemade Christmas gifts last year (hence the decorations in the photo) and it was very well-received. ^_^  It's easy and fun!

1 box cornflakes
1.5 pound semi-sweet or dark chocolate
1/2 bar of butter (equivalent to 1/4 cup)

1.  Take bag of cornflakes out of box, and without opening the bag, crush the cornflakes slightly.  You don't want powdery cornflakes, but you do want to have smaller pieces so that you can shape it easily into a ball of chocolate instead of an unidentifiable lump!

2.  Melt the butter in a big pot over low heat.

3.  Melt the chocolate in the pot stirring with a wooden spoon.  Stir lots and watch the heat to make sure the chocolate doesn't burn!

4.  When chocolate is fully melted, turn off the fire and remove pot from heat.  Put cornflakes into the pot in batches and stir gently to mix well.  It will be icky looking at first but persevere and it will mix fine.  ;)

5.  Working quickly and using a teaspoon, scoop the chocolate-covered
cornflakes onto a greased baking sheet or paper cups, etc..  Let cool in the fridge to harden.  TADAAA!

Fresh cornflakes are essential! Original recipe does not include butter..But I love the buttery taste and it helps the chocolate not to burn.. Include as you wish!
