Chocolate Meringues
Description
These are Chocolate Meringues that even turned out on a rainy day. these are easy and use no cream of tarter.

4 egg whites
1 cup Sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Preparation
Place the egg whites in a clean bowl. Beat them with a hand mixer until foamy. Add 1/2 cup sugar and beat until mixed well. Add the last 1/2 cup sugar, cocoa and vannila and beat until at the hard peak stage. (Should hold a peak and be very shiny) Drop by spoon fulls on a greased cookie sheet. Place in middle rack of a 225 degree oven. Bake for 45 minuets to one hour. I took them out at 45 minutes so they are still like marshmallows in the middle. You can also sprinkle these with coconut before baking.
