Christmas Eggnog

Submitted by:

Description

Here is an easy recipe for a classic Christmas eggnog (or Christmas egg nog, however you decide to spell it!) that you and your guests will love over the holidays. Skip buying the cheap eggnog you can get at the grocery store -- you'll be able to tell your guests you made this from scratch and the quality will be tenfold better. You can add rum to this drink or leave it out if you wish.

14 onuces condensed milk (Carnation)
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 quart milk
1 pinch salt
1-2 shots rum

Preparation

Combine the milk, condensed milk, eggs, vanilla extract, salt and rum with a whisk in a large container. You'll want to make sure that the combined ingredients are very well blended -- you may want to even use a hand blender to achieve the best results. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at 1-2 hours. I prefer to leave it in a bit longer as I like this drink as cold as possible. That's it -- nice and easy! It's great to serve this with a Christmas cookie (or three!) -- enjoy.
