I have been searching for a corn chowder that brings me child memories. My mom would make this for us on cold days. However, she says she can't remember what she used to make it thick. I asked her many times if it was flour and she would say no. I wonder now that I have read your recipe if it was cream of mushroom, I do recall seeing those around the house when we were growing up. I will be asking her today, if that is the missing ingredient. Thank you. I will be trying this in the next couple of weeks. Thank you so much.
Everyone including my mom had some of the corn chowder this weekend. It was a big hit and repeat request was on the table. Thank you so much. Easy and so good.

I've been looking for a good corn and potato chowder recipe ever since we had it in a bistro in Lake Placid. This one sounds excellent.
This looks SO pretty. I've rating it based on how I imagine it would taste, and on the pic & recipe format, but I promise to make this soon!
really yummy!!!
there ended up not being enough so i just added some chicken broth and it tasted just as good and thinned it out a little
