This crock pot dish is a great weeknight meal because you just set it and forget it!
3 lbs. Chuck roast
1 Onion, sliced
2 Carrots, peeled, cut into large pieces
6 Baby red potatoes, whole
Turnips, peeled, halved
1 jar Robert Rothschild Farm Mushroom Trio Marinade & Simmer Sauce
1/4 cup Red wine
1. Heat oil in a large skillet. Sear chuck roast on all sides. Place chuck roast in crock pot. Arrange onion, carrots, potatoes and turnips around the meat evenly.
2. Mix together the Mushroom Trio Marinade & Simmer Sauce and red wine and pour over the meat and vegetables. Turn crock pot on high for 1 1/2 hours, then reduce to low and cook for 4-6 hours until meat is fork tender.
3. To serve, place chuck roast in the middle of a platter and arrange vegetables around. Ladle simmer sauce over top of chuck roast.
