Cuban Burger

Submitted by:

Description

If I had to pick one sandwich to eat for the rest of my life it would be a Cuban. I am drooling just thinking about it. I am not a big mayo fan, but this is the sandwich I make an exception for. I was reading my my blog roll awhile ago, and a cuban burger caught my eye. I am sorry but it doesn't get any better for me. After a few adjustments of my own I sunck my teeth into this baby. Our guests raved about the burger, and I can't wait to make it again! Enjoy!

4 tsp mayo
4 tsp yellow mustard
4 slices ham
4 slices Swiss cheese
8-12 slices dill pickles
4 hard hamburger buns

Preparation

Mix the garlic, lime juice, lime zest, oregano, cumin, salt and pepper into the pork. Form the pork into 4 patties about 3/4 of an inch thick. Place burgers on buns and top with mayo, mustard, and pickles.

I wouldn't have thought of this combination, but after seeing the list of ingredients, I can almost taste its goodness. Nice!

This was a delicious treat. Definitely going on the regular list! My four year old said, "mommy, I took a bite and it was really good!"
