Easy Pecan Pie

An economical, expensive tasting pie for anyone who enjoys pecan pie,

1/2 cup Sugar
2 tbls. Butter (use the real stuff)
2 tbls. flour
2 Eggs well-beaten
1 cup Light Karo syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup Whole pecans
9" Unbaked pie shell (roll up works best)
Preparation
First, cream butter and sugar together. Once mixed together, add the rest of the ingredients in the order listed. Only throw in 1/2 cup of pecans into the mix.
Pour the mix into the pie crust. Take the last 1/2 cup of pecans and sprinkle on top of the mix in the shell.
Cover the edges of the crust with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Pull the foil off in the last 10 minutes of cooking. Test that the center is firm with a knife.
