Tasty Indo-Chinese recipe. Quick and easy to prepare.
4 Eggs (seasoned with salt and pepper and scrambled)
2cup Cooked Jasmine Rice
1/2cup Carrot and French beans chopped
2tbsp Garlic minced
1tsp Soy Sauce
To taste Pepper and Salt
2tbsp sesame oil
1/4tsp Ajinomoto ( optional)
Heat sesame oil in a wok; add garlic, carrot and beans. Stir fry for a minute. Add the scrambled eggs, cooked rice. Add soy sauce, ajinomoto and season with salt and pepper. Serve Hot with Chicken Manchurian.
Okay, I’m a little confused here. I’m comparing the ingredients to the instructions and they don’t match. There is no mention of the use of an oil ingredient of any kind. What is Ajinomoto, besides a Japanese company who’s claim to fame is MSG and Aspartame? I never thought of carrots and French green beans. I usually use regular ‘ol green peas. Sounds good though.
to Christopher51, the Ajinomoto is the soy sauce. They just refer to it by brand name. Actually any soy sauce will do.
@Christopher51: 1.Sorry I forgot to mention sesame oil in the ingredients and thanks to you for bringing this to my attention.
2.Ajinomoto is a flavor enhancer, it gives Umami taste to Asian recipes(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umami.)
@graceelou31: Ajinomoto and Soy sauce are different. But soy sauce has the Umami taste so you can replace ajinomoto with soy sauce.
