Fettuccine Alfredo
Description
Italian food is one of my favorite cuisines because I love all types of pasta. My favorite of all time has to be fettuccine alfredo. I love the creaminess, and how you can add pretty much any protein or vegetable and create your own dish. Try this simple, classic fettuccine alfredo recipe, and treat yourself and your family or friends tonight.

½ cup butter
2/3 cup heavy cream
1 ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

¼ teaspoon pepper
Chopped fresh parsley
Preparation
Cook noodles according to package directions. Remove from heat when still al dente, and drain well. Set aside, and keep warm.
For the Alfredo Sauce:
Heat butter and cream in a saucepan over medium/low heat until butter is melted. Stir with a whisk until fully combined. Remove from heat and add in Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Stir well. Add to bowl with noodles and toss until coated. Sprinkle with additional Parmesan and chopped parsley. Enjoy!

I use gruyere or "Italian blend" to reduce the salt of the Parmesan. It's a little smoother
