Fresh Strawberry Coffee Cake Adapted from Betty Crocker Fall baking (With a few changes to make it my own)
Description
This recipe is simple and delicious and does go great with a good cup of coffee!

½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
¾ cup butter milk
1 egg
2 cups all- purpose flour
½ cup sugar
2 tsps baking powder
1 cup fresh strawberries
½ cup powdered sugar
1 tblsp butter
3 tsps water
¼ tsp almond extract
Preparation
Heat over to 350 degrees:
Butter 8x8 inch square baking pan
In medium bowl, beat softened butter, buttermilk, vanilla and egg with a spoon.
Stir in flour, sugar and baking powder until flour is moistened.
Fold in strawberries.
Bake 25-30 minutes or until top is golden or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Let cake cool.
Mix the glaze ingredients until thin enough to drizzle over warm coffee cake.
