Ginger Flank Steak
Description
I love using Asian inspired ingredients when preparing a steak. The salty/sweetness really takes the flavor of the meat to a whole new level. Flank steak seems to work best because it is a thinner cut of meat, but still has a lot of juiciness to it so it won't be dry. Try this marinade the next time you are in the mood for something a little different, and I am sure you will love it as much as I do.
add to shopping list Ingredients
1 pound beef flank steak
½ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon fresh ginger root, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
Preparation
In a large freezer bag, combine all ingredients except for the steak. Mix well. Remove about ½ of the marinade and place in another bag. Add steak to one bag and turn over several times to coat. Set in the fridge to marinate for 8 hours. Refrigerate other marinade bag as well.
Remove steak from the bag and discard marinade. Heat your grill until very hot. Place meat on the grill and cook each side for about 5 minutes. Occasionally baste with the 2nd bag of marinade. Once steak is cooked to your desired level, remove from grill and allow to sit for a few minutes. Now serve with some rice or potatoes, and some fresh veggies. Enjoy!

I haven't purchased flank steak in years. I will and intend to prepare it your way. Looks so tasty. Flavor is what cooking is about.
This recipe was really yummy. Kinda twangy and sweet all in one. Full of flavor and really quick!
