Mexican Cream Cheese Dip

Submitted by:

Description

Dips are prefect for entertaining, and this one will make all your friends and family want to gather at your house! It is simple to prepare and very versatile. Serve it with tostada chips (of course), or even slap it in an omelet, or top a burger or sandwich with it. Fiesta time!

add to shopping list Ingredients

2 pkg (8oz.) cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup mayo or miracle whip
3 tablespoons taco seasoning (I like Pace)
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can corn, drained and rinsed
2 green onions, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped or diced
3/4 cup hot sauce

Preparation

Combine the first 3 ingredients together in a mixing bowl, mixing until smooth. In a separate bowl, mix the remaining ingredients. In a serving dish, layer the cream cheese mixture and spread evenly. Now top with your bean/corn mixture. Place in the fridge to chill for about 20 minutes. You can also mix the two mixtures together completely and serve it that way. This allows the flavors to mingle, but does not look as pretty. Serve with chips, crackers, or even veggies.

This sounds much better than the jar dips for these chips. Good recipe.
