My Sister makes this for breakfast and it is almost addicting. It is super easy to prepare, but is extremely decadent tasting. You can make a cream cheese frosting to top it off if you really want to indulge. Your kids will definitely love it! (I think she may have named it for her little monkey...ok, child, Sam)
4 cans of crescent rolls, break apart into sections, unroll, and cut into strips
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. In a Ziploc bag combine sugar and cinnamon. Add strips to bag and shake to coat. Grease a bundt pan and drop pieces into the pan. Melt the butter and add brown sugar, mix well. Pour over strips. Place in the oven for 1 hour. Serve hot.
This is exactly how my mother made Monkey Bread when I was a kid. I love it, I have yet to make it for my own children. Monkey Bread is a family favorite.
It has been so long since I've had this stuff. Though I think you left a typo in the description when you said that it is ALMOST addicting.
Made this for my 11 year olds birthday breakfast... boy was it yummy! Everyone LOVED it! It was super easy to make, and fed a large group.
In regards to Taylor's comment, Looks like you need some of that fat honey. Recipe is awesome!!!!!!!!!!
