Description

A beautiful autumn dessert for those cold nights. Makes my whole house smell amazing.

add to shopping list Ingredients

4-5 crisp apples
cinnamon
100 g butter
1 dl muscovado sugar
3 dl rolled oats
½ flour

(You can add raisins, nuts, etc. into the mix too if you happen to have some at hand.)

vanilla sauce

Preparation

Heat oven to 200°c

1. Peel & slice apples
2. Spread apples into an oven-proof dish, sprinkle cinnamon on top
3. Melt butter
4. Mix oats, sugar and flour with butter
5. Spread oat mix over apples
6. Cook for 20-30 minutes
7. Serve warm with as much vanilla sauce as you want

Eat & enjoy!

I saw a great idea for apple-crumble type desserts in a book today: bake it in individual pots (oven-proof mugs are perfect) and then dollop with ...something yummy (custard, cream, ice cream, fruit sauce). Winter is excellent :)
