Spicy Deviled Eggs

Submitted by:

Description

Deviled eggs are an entertaining staple, yet they can sometimes be boring. I added a few things to this recipe to make sure these deviled eggs will be the life of the party. Next time you have company coming over, just whip these up and watch how fast they disappear!

add to shopping list Ingredients

8 large eggs
½ cup of mayonnaise or miracle whip
2 Tbsp. Spicy mustard
5 strips of bacon (cooked and crumbled)
1/4 Tbsp. Cayenne pepper
Paprika
Parsley
Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Heat water for your eggs in a large pot. Once water is boiling gently add eggs, make sure not to drop them. You do not want them to crack. Make sure the water completely covers the tops of the eggs. Boil for 12 minutes.

Remove them from the heat and place the eggs in cold water. Allow to cool. Once cooled, de-shell the eggs and set them aside. It helps to run them under cold water, and then tap the top and bottom of the egg on a hard surface to break the membrane. This helps the shell come off easier.

Once the eggs are ready, slice them in half with a sharp knife. In a bowl, scoop out the yolks of all the eggs. Use a fork to break the egg yolks into a course mixture. Add your mayonnaise, mustard, and cayenne. Mix thoroughly. You want the mixture to be somewhat smooth, so try to remove any lumps. Now mix in your bacon, and salt and pepper to taste.

Spoon the mixture into each egg and place on a serving dish. Sprinkle them with paprika and parsley. Guests will eat them up!
