Super Delicious Chocolate Pumpkin Oats
Description
If you think you don't like oatmeal or even if you know you love it, you have to give this recipe a try. It is a twist on traditional oats and the addition of pumpkin and protein powder gives the recipe a really creamy, chocolately taste while also bulking up the oats and making them really filling.

1/3 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup milk (or non dairy milk)
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 scoop protein powder (I used chocolate whey)
2 t protein powder
1/8 t Brown Sugar
1/8 t or less of salt
1/4 t vanilla
1/2 banana (optional)
1 T peanut butter (optional)
Preparation
Combine the oats, milk and water in a pan and heat over low-medium heat. Add the salt, vanilla and brown sugar. The oats will start to pop and bubble, so make sure to stir them often.
After a few minutes, add in pumpkin and continue to cook until the mixture is heated all the way through. You don’t have to add pumpkin, but I like to add it because it gives a lot of bulk for not many calories. Turn heat off and add the protein and cocoa powders. Add whatever toppings you would like (I used banana and peanut butter). Other options are jam, granola, cereal, fruit or anything else!
