Sweet-n-Sour Lil' Smokies

Submitted by:

Description

These fantastic sweet and sour little sausages are a tradition in our family and no holiday is complete without them. They are also great for potlucks and office parties...take them and watch them disappear! I guarantee you will get asked for this recipe!

add to shopping list Ingredients

2 pounds 'Lil Smokies cocktail franks
1 10 oz. jar red currant jelly (or 1/2 can jellied cramberry sauce)
1 6 oz. jar Dijon mustard
1 20 oz. bottle ketchup

Preparation

Mix jelly, mustard, and ketchup in a medium saucepan. Over low heat, cook and stir until jelly is dissolved and sauce is hot. Add 'Lil smokies and cook over low heat an additional 20 minutes until sausages are heated through. Taste even better if made the night before and reheated. Place in crockpot on low an hour to two hours before your party and watch 'em disappear!
